John Robalin and I departed in mid-June for a 2 – 3 week safari to Combretum African Safaris in Thabazimbie, South Africa. Combretum is approximately 2 ½ hours north of Johannesburg South Africa.
One word describes our trip…OUTSTANDING. This was my third trip and John’s first, but by far, it was the best! Words can’t describe how we were treated. The owners of Combretum 'Hannis and Riki Harmes & family' and our Professional Hunter 'Eben Lategan' worked harder than anyone can imagine to make ours the trip of a lifetime. Not only did they (and we) accomplish every one of our goals, but we were made to feel “at home” When we departed South Africa, we departed from friends.
Every year, Hannis and Eben visit our home in Aransas Pass and fish with us for about 10 days in February. This year, we will have a special get together for them and I would courtesly invite any of you who are interested in visiting with these two professionals about chasing your dream in South Africa.
